Become a Member of LESBA!
Welcome! We are thrilled that you are interested in joining the Lower Eastern Shore Beekeepers Association.
Whether you are unboxing your very first package of bees, managing a dozen production hives, or simply passionate about supporting our local Delmarva pollinators, there is a place for you in our club. Beekeeping is a craft best learned together, and joining LESBA connects you with a dedicated community of local mentors, educators, and friends.
What’s Included With Membership
Local Mentorship: Direct connection to a network of Eastern Shore beekeepers who understand our unique climate, nectar flows, and seasonal challenges.
Monthly Educational Meetings: Deep dives into honey bee biology, seasonal management, and pest control with local experts.
Exclusive Member Events: Invitations to private gatherings.
The "Support Local Beekeepers" Directory: Get your apiary listed on our public-facing marketplace! This is a dedicated space on our website where members can advertise their products and services directly to the community. Whether you are selling local honey, beeswax candles, spring nucs, or offering apiary consulting, this directory helps local customers find you.
Swarm Removal & Cut-Out Lists: Looking to capture swarms, or want to learn the ropes by helping out?
Primary Catchers:Opt-in to our public Swarm Removal list to get direct calls from the community when a swarm lands in their yard or a cut-out is needed.
Assist List: Not ready to tackle a swarm alone, or want to learn how to do complex structural cut-outs? Join our internal "Assist List" to tag along, shadow, and help our experienced members in the field!
A Quick Note on Our Payment System
To make sure every single dollar of your membership goes directly back into the club's educational programs and local Delmarva outreach, we process all of our dues and donations through Zeffy—a secure, fee-free payment platform designed specifically for nonprofits.
When you click the payment button below, a new secure window will open to our official Zeffy page where you can safely complete your registration and pay your dues.
Prefer to Pay in Person?
If you would rather not pay online, you are always welcome to join or renew your membership in person! Simply bring cash or a check to any of our monthly meetings.
The Paper Form: We will have physical New Member forms available at the sign-in table for you to fill out.
Stay in the Loop: Once you hand in your form and dues, we will manually add your email to the club's private mailing list so you receive all our updates, educational resources, and meeting reminders.
Directory Access: You will have the option on your paper form to choose whether you want your apiary and contact information listed in our public "Support Local" and "Swarm Removal" directories.
