    Ever wonder how a tiny bee survives a long winter, or how she fuels her immune system to fight off viruses?

    It all comes down to one incredible, often overlooked organ: The Fat Body.

    ​Our May meeting is sure to be a "pencil-sharpening" masterclass in honey bee biology! We are thrilled to have EAS Master Beekeeper and club member Crystal Lehmanking for a comprehensive review of this fascinating organ. If you want to move beyond "box-stacking" and truly understand the physiology of your colony, this is the session for you!
